RI Beach House - Girls Bedrooms and Bath
Hello! I took a longer break than I intended on this reveal but I gave myself some time off for vacation which felt pretty great. Back today with the next part but if you need to catch up, you can find part 1 and part 2 here and here. My clients have two teenage daughters who had some say in designing their rooms! This first bedroom was one of the first designs I did for the house - for whatever reason it sort of all came together in my head.
We took a lot of cues from the beach and used sandy tones and accented them with black. I love the high contrast look! The sconces and wallpaper (although you could achieve this with paint too!) on the bed wall took this room to the next level. I found a woven raffia trim for the window treatments that we paired with white linen for a crisp feel. We kept the textures going with the rattan headboards and jute rug.
Both bedrooms have built in dressers which always feels so custom. These were fun spots to accessorize with cute mirrors and hardware. The other walls are painted benjamin moore simply white.
In the second bedroom we wanted a decidedly different feel but when I proposed this bed I think everyone thought I was crazy. In the end it turned out to be a favorite piece! We added texture with woven wood shades and bent rattan lamps. The paint color in this room is benjamin moore bunny gray.
Above the built in in this room I added a bone inlay mirror which played off the bed fabric really well. Some pretty Jill Rosenwald pots were the perfect touch!
The girls’ bathroom was such a fun spot to design! We picked a gray and white porcelain hexagon tile and painted the vanity a soft gray to complement the floor. The hardware and lighting are brass but to keep things from getting too matchy, the mirror and faucet are polished nickel. We also chose designed a high backsplash and wall mount faucet in this bath to add some variation from the other bathrooms. I love how it came out!
I’d say these are two very lucky ladies! The last part of this house will be coming atcha on Friday and I’m kind of sad about - I don’t want to say goodbye to this one!
