About MRD

Meredith Rodday Design was founded in 2016 after turning a dream into reality. Based outside of Boston, the studio focuses on residential interior design and specializes in breathing new life into outdated or newly constructed spaces by adding a fresh and modern feel. Meredith’s personal style is a mix of east coast meets west coast with a clean, casual, and refined vibe. At the heart of the business is her ability to create unique spaces that feel authentic to each project and client - but with the MRD twist!

In 2020, MRD expanded to include two additional team members. The addition of a junior design/project manager and a design assistant propelled the firm forward and the studio provides full service design to its clients.

About Meredith

When I started my blog, view from my heels, as a creative outlet I had no idea the underlying passion it would reveal - interior design! I began by helping friends refresh their homes and as word of mouth referrals spread, I decided to take the opportunity and run with it. Since that time the business has grown to become a high end interior design studio servicing clients who appreciate a casual yet refined style. My work has been featured in the Boston Globe, New England Home magazine, and Boston Home magazine as well as online by Style Me Pretty Living, Studio McGee, One Kings Lane, and Serena & Lily among others. 

Originally from Baltimore, MD, I've lived outside of Boston since 2004. I'm married to my college sweetheart, Tyler (aka Mr. R), and together we have twin boys and a couple of wild dogs. Our home can often be found in the midst of various design projects which thrills Mr. R to no end. 

About ALEX

Alex started at MRD in early 2021. With experience in vendor relationships and processes at Wayfair, she was a natural fit for the team. At MRD, Alex specializes in sourcing, issue resolution, and systems. She brings energy, laughter, and all sorts of music to the studio!

Hailing originally from New Jersey, Alex has lived in Massachusetts since 1998. She is newly married and has an adorable fur baby, Bowen Pancake.

About View from my Heels

Meredith started the view from my heels blog in 2010 amidst a long struggle with fertility as a distraction from that journey. She gave it as broad a name as possible because, in the beginning, she truly had no idea what it would be about! In fact, the very first post was about shoes! The blog grew to be mainly focused on interior design but still ventures into lifestyle content occasionally. She credits the blog with introducing her to the world of interior design and ultimately forging a new career path and the launch of Meredith Rodday Design.
